A Full Weekend

I love going to this park in the morni
It's been about four days since my last blog entry - not because things have been slow; quite the opposite.  I will let the pictures do the talking!

An Italian restaurant

On Thursday, Sandra (Clo's sister) and her Mom, Olga, picked up the boys from school and invited me out to lunch with them.

Every Friday there is a huge and very lively Farmer's Market just a few blocks from Arthur and Clo's place.  I went there with an empty canvas bag and bought some fruits and vegetables, feeling quite like the native Paulista!

Nicky came home from school on Friday with a Bear in his cave!

Here is Timmy writing up the afternoon's schedule.  Homework is always first, then it could be Bingo, Had Bands, Treasure Hunt, Baking, building a city...who knows.  There are so many things to do, and we usually don't get to them all!

The Brasilian Flag that Matthew adores.

Getting ready for the treasure hunt
Timmy's Paper City
Building a cup tower

The Golden Gate Bridge is now part of Timmy's City!

Having a little ice cream treat

...because we were SO GOOD!!

On Saturday we all went to Domus Pueri, the boy's wonderful Montessori based school, for a kind of sports event.  There were all sorts of races and contests that the children did with their parents.  There was a wonderful feel to the place.  Here are some pictures I took.

Matthew with a friend

We had an amazing day on Sunday.  We spent most of the day at the club going swimming, hiking, fishing and playing golf.  We also had a delicious lunch at one of six restaurants that the Club has!!

We came across a skate boarding ramp on the Club grounds and the boys had a blast!

Next- it's off to fishing and feeding the ducks!  And Matthew was the only one to catch a fish!

 Okay- anyone ready for golf!!!

Timmy and Matthew played golf with Dad while Nicky acted as the Caddy!

After two holes, we're ready to go home!

Timmy went home with Olga and spent the night with her.  As a special treat, Clo, Arthur, Nicky, Matthew and I went to an outdoor concert featuring a full orchestra and a special Edith Piaf singer.  It was a beautiful night and we spread a blanket on the ground.  The boys loved it, and it was such a kick for me to be listening to Edith Piaf in Sao Paulo, Brasil!!  A great ending to a great day!

I'm off to Rio in a couple of minutes-  Will try to blog some more from there.

OMG. I had to go lie down just from reading of your activities! Those little guys remind me so much of yours when we were doing all that stuff. Have a lovely time w/Glorita and don't stay out clubbing too too late!

I am a relative of the Josiger family and live in Washington State, U.S.A . I noticed on an old post that Sandra Josiger was doing genealogical research several years ago and was looking for people who shared the name Josiger. Her old email no longer works and i am trying to get in touch with her now since I am also researching the name. My maternal grandfather was William Josiger and he was from Leipzig, Prussia. He had a brother named Konrad. Can you give Sandra my email address and ask her to contact me? Thanks. jmherman@pacifier.com
